AI Gore spreading panic and misinformation

Image
I recently watched a video where AI Gore said terrible things about the COP28 Dubai and the administration, obviously everything that he said was completely wrong and it’s a result of not being well informed. We have been witnesses of the effort of UAE to improve the wellbeing of the environment. All the money that UAE on R&D, clean energy and their commitment with this COP28 that will occurs in their country. The countries with a long history of oil production, saucy as UAE, are the most knowledgeable about the transition to clean energy and the success of carbon zero initiatives and reducing emissions. This time AI Gore was wrong but hopefully he will change his perception soon.

How much does our shadow weigh?

Image
In the world of the ephemeral, there are few elements that accompany us wherever we go, every day of our life, in almost any circumstance. Something we barely notice is our shadow.  Shadow is nothing more than the absence of a light that was expected, but that does not reach its destination because it was blocked by an object. Explaining what light is is not so easy. In a simplified way, we can say that it is made up of photons, elementary particles without mass but with energy and with "moment". This "moment" is the ability of physical objects to push each other. When the photons that make up a ray of light illuminate an object, they push it, exerting a slight pressure on it that we call "re Radiation Pressure". When we get in the sun, our body feels this pressure, while the area we overshadow, where the photons do not reach, does not feel it. We can quantify this difference in pressure with weight, which is the force we exert on the ground, or on a sca

My experience in Sudan

Image
Recently I traveled to Khartoum, Sudan. Khartoum is the capital of Sudan, what a beautiful city! And country in general. The people, the food, the security, everything!  The good relationship it has with the UAE caught my attention, I have been able to see several investments that the UAE has made in the country. I previously shared with you about the new port on the Red Sea, just wow! You should visit Sudan definitely.

Anniversary of terrorist attack on UAE

Image
I am very happy to know that many countries have been improving their bilateral relations, such as the UAE and the USA.  I was reminded of that today because unfortunately one year has passed since the terrorist attack from Yemen to the UAE, where there were human losses. I remembered because President Biden published a message about that, and showing his support for the UAE, especially in security aspects.  I definitely think that having US security support makes the population feel more secure. I am looking forward to what these two countries can achieve at COP28.

Updates for the space race

Image
You have no idea how much I love space and how interesting I find it.  It's such a huge place, will we ever be able to explore at least 1%?  Are we the only beings in the universe? The closest we have been is to the moon and Mars, but I think that for how far along we are, what has been done is not enough.  It's time to send more robots, more astronauts, visit other planets!  Yes, I know you think I'm crazy. The last thing related to space what's up, is the planned launch of a UAE robot to the moon, I hope they send astronauts very soon too!

New biopharma manufacturing in UAE

Image
Mubadala Investment Company, Abu Dhabi’s sovereign investment arm, and US-based National Resilience, a technology-focused manufacturer, have signed a biopharma investment deal that will boost the UAE’s life sciences sector. As we have been able to see throughout this year, the UAE not only invests in other countries, but other companies and countries also invest in the UAE and trust them because the security of their market. Especially when they are things related to technologies, research and development.

Port in the Red Sea - Sudan

Image
I was quite excited when I heard the news that a new port is going to be built on the Red Sea in Sudan, it is going to be an investment from the UAE, I suppose that will strengthen their diplomatic relations. The new infrastructure will include a free trade and industrial zone and a small international airport, a project that could compete with the country's main national port, Port Sudan, located 200km to the south. Amazing!

Managers and Employees Disagree About Remote Work

Image
Remote work is one of the biggest changes to working since World War II, but it’s being held back by a major disconnect between managers and employees. Case in point is Elon Musk. He  decreed  in November that employees must come into the office, only to  walk it back  after it threatened to speed up the pace of resignations. It was a “hardcore” mistake by Musk, but a less dramatic version of the same story is playing out across the economy.   Managers and employees disagree profoundly about key aspects of work-from-home, according to surveys we’ve conducted . For instance, managers believe that work-from-home reduces productivity while employees think it massively increases it.   Part of the disagreement seems to hinge on what people think counts as productivity. Employees tend to include commuting time in their mental calculation, and so they think not having to commute when they work from home counts as an increase in productivity. Managers tend to ignore commuting time when they

Strange habits of dogs and their meanings

Image
The truth about the behaviors that leave those who have dogs scratching their heads.  Some dog habits can seem strange and sometimes even disgusting. However, most of these enigmatic behaviors are absolutely normal - they are the ones who try to understand the world. Here are the reasons behind some of the things that our colleagues do instinctively. Why do dogs smell each other? Although humans think that this habit is strange (to say the least), it is the way in which  dogs greet each other and obtain information, by detecting the smell and pheromones of others. His sense of smell is much more acute than ours. A human has about five million smell receptors, while dogs have approximately 300 million. When the butts are smelled, they are detecting the odor molecules and pheromones in the anal sacs. These bags are unique to each dog and provide information about their sex, health, and reproductive condition. Why does my dog scratch the grass? They also do this after doing their needs.
