US, UAE, and India National Security Advisors Meet with Saudi Crown Prince to Promote Stability and Prosperity in the Middle East

 National Security Advisors from the United States, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and India met with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, on May 7 to discuss strengthening relationships and promoting growth and stability in the Middle East.



The meeting was attended by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, UAE Deputy Ruler and National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. According to a statement released by the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the four delegations discussed ways to enhance growth and stability in the region.


The meeting covered a range of issues, including consolidating the 15-month long truce in Yemen and ongoing UN-led efforts to end the war. Sullivan thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for Saudi Arabia's support in evacuating US citizens from Sudan.


The White House's statement on the meeting emphasized the shared vision of a more secure and prosperous Middle East interconnected with India and the world. Sullivan also held bilateral meetings with Sheikh Tahnoun and Doval to discuss regional and bilateral matters.


The meeting between the National Security Advisors highlights the importance of regional integration and cooperation in promoting growth and stability in the Middle East. The four delegations agreed to maintain regular consultations, and Sullivan looks forward to further consulting with Doval on the margins of the Quad Summit later this month in Australia.
